School Sisters of Notre Dame

Responding with compassion, meeting changing needs

Justice, Peace & the Integrity of Creation

Impelled by the spirit of Jesus Christ, the pursuit of justice, peace and integrity of creation is at the heart of what it means to be a School Sister of Notre Dame. Our charism reflects a call for social justice rooted in the Gospel message and Catholic social teaching.

We call ourselves and others to embody gospel values and live the social teachings of the church. Working toward the enablement of persons and the promotion of human dignity, we contribute to positive systemic change.

For more information about the Office of Peace and Justice, contact Sister Jeanne Wingenter.

FOCUS ON IMMIGRATION IN LIGHT OF THE CALL TO SOLIDARITY…

we hold all in common – giving, receiving and choosing what is best for the whole….we are convinced anew that education is the concrete expression of our solidarity with all….Eucharist calls us again and again to reconciliation and solidarity among ourselves and with all Creation….we are ready to lay down our lives to be bread that is blessed, broken and shared for the life of the world. The School Sisters of Notre Dame of the Mankato Province are compassionate about and feel compelled to further our charism through prayer, education and action in solidarity with immigrants during.
