Volunteer Opportunities in Mankato

Serve those who have served—our retired sisters—at our provincial house and health care center in Mankato. Here are just some of the opportunities for service:

Drive sisters to medical appointments, local community events, or shopping; participate in group or one-on-one recreational activities; teach sisters email and computer skills; visit with sisters; write correspondence.

East Side Learning Center

The East Side Learning Center (ESLC) is our response to the serious educational needs of children on the East Side of St. Paul, Minnesota. The ESLC is a year-round, non-sectarian, one-on-one tutoring program in reading for children in grades K-4 who are below level in reading and live or go to school on the East Side of St. Paul.

Theresa Living Center (TLC), a transitional home for women and children, was established on the belief that the right environment can make the difference for women striving to reclaim their personal worth and dignity.

Li'l Farm Children's Home
34075 Jefferson Street NE, Cambridge, MN
(One hour NW of St. Paul/Minneapolis)

Li'l Farm is a licensed foster home where children experience a safe, loving environment that encourages play, learning, responsibility, and self-respect. Children placed in this home are abused and abandoned, ranging in age from infancy to 18 years. The farm and animals are for the children to befriend, care for, learn from, and receive help with healing.

Volunteer Opportunities
Interacting with the children, helping with farm chores, gardening, mowing lawn, and general maintenance. Baking and preparing meals are also options.
