Good Counsel Learning Center

The Good Counsel Learning Center is located on Good Counsel Hill in Mankato, Minnesota, and is staffed by the School Sisters of Notre Dame and lay teachers who provide a unique one-to-one tutoring service for children, youth, and adults.

The Center began in 1967. Since then over 1,500 students have been served during the school year and over 900 students during the summer sessions. The areas of concentration at the Center are reading, math, and language arts skills. Learning experiences are available for children, youth, and adults.

Schedule and Hours

Tutoring sessions are one hour a week from September through May between 2:45 PM and 5:00 PM, and summer sessions in June to July. Summer session meets five days a week, 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM. Adjustments are made to accommodate special needs.
